Here are our top tips to reduce the cost of improving the acoustics in your venue!

1- Measure out the length and width of the space you need acoustically treated. The length and width should suffice. As a rule of thumb the total acoustic treatment area should be about 30-40% of the ceiling space plus an additional 25% of the ceiling area placed on walls around the room. This should suffice for most general spaces to improve conversational speech intelligibility. However spaces used for music and drama performances or where occupants with special needs are to be taken into consideration, more accurate modelling of the acoustics will need to be carried out to determine the optimum amount of acoustic treatment.

2- Determine the best place to place your acoustic treatment. The ceiling area is the ideal candidate because the ceiling;

• Provides the largest reflective surface in any room and hence introducing absorption to the ceiling is a quick and easy way to reduce echoes and reverberations and enhance speech intelligibility.
• Is out of reach from curious hands meaning that panels that are installed will remain undisturbed and not take up any valuable wall space on walls and floors
